Nathalie Bégin, FCIA, FCAS

Nathalie Bégin joined Willis Towers Watson in April 2013 as a senior actuarial consultant for the property and casualty (P&C) insurance practice. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for over 20 years in insurance. Her experience spans property and casualty actuarial work in Canada, including valuation of policy liabilities, Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing, participation in the development of business plans, financial reporting, insurance ratemaking and predictive modelling, management of ceded reinsurance programs, earthquake modelling, and presentations to boards of directors and audit committees.

Ms. Bégin is bilingual in French and English and holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Laval University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). She has served on the CIA Continuing Education Committee and was the Chair of the P&C Insurance Subcommittee. She currently sits on the Practice Education Course 2018 Property & Casualty Working Group of the CIA. She has published a number of articles and is a regular speaker at actuarial and financial conferences.
