Elizabeth Boulanger, FCIA, FSA

Elizabeth Boulanger has been the Appointed Actuary at RGA Canada since 2006. She has worked 30 years in the Canadian insurance industry, mainly in corporate actuarial, risk management, and pricing roles. She is currently the Vice-chair of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ (CIA) Appointed/Valuation Actuary Committee and has volunteered in the past as a member of the CIA’s Committee on Life Insurance Financial Reporting, the Committee on Risk Management and Capital Requirements, as well as the Committee on Professional Conduct. She is also a member of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) Committee on Capital Adequacy and Solvency. She has participated actively in working groups of these committees, most recently with respect to industry, professional, and regulatory discussions regarding the development of the new capital framework for life insurance companies.
