Conrad Ferguson, BSc, FCIA, FSA

Conrad Ferguson, a partner at Morneau Shepell, has more than 30 years’ actuarial experience, having started his career in 1978 in the corporate actuarial department of Maritime Life. A Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, and Life Management Institute, he has amassed expertise in the areas of actuarial evidence, pensions, and workers’ compensation.

His varied responsibilities have included preparing or peer reviewing hundreds of reports for litigation; providing advice and actuarial valuation work for pension clients; developing phased retirement programs; advising judicial remuneration and legislative assembly commissions; acting for workers’ compensation boards across Canada; and serving as actuary to two public sector self-insured long-term disability programs.

Besides serving on the boards of the Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick, Comité scolaire de Fredericton, and Université de Moncton, among others, Mr. Ferguson has also spoken at numerous pensions and workers’ compensation conferences and seminars.
